THE FACILITY

The Keith Alexander Football Centre consists of one new 11-a-side 3rd Generation Synthetic Football Pitch (3G Pitch) which can be used as 3 smaller 7-a-side pitches. As well as the 3G pitch we have a new building with two changing rooms with showers, disabled changing room, officials room, office, serving hatch and Learning Suite (conference room).

OUR OPENING CEREMONY

KAFC was officially opened by the late Keith Alexander on Wednesday 21st October 2009. It was a special event with Keith, the FA, council members and people in the community all invited to attend the grand opening.

SOME OF OUR USERS

OUR AIMS

We are a community based centre who's main aim is to offer local people/clubs the opportunity to play on a great facility and to allow football to be played over the winter months. RE-NAMENING CEREMONY

After Keith Alexander died sadly in 2010, it was suggested by the pupils of Cherry Willingham Community School that we should re-name Goals @ Cherry to The Keith Alexander Football Centre, and after his family agreed to the re-naming it was officially re-named on the 22nd May 2010 at our annual event. In honour of Keith many clubs in League 2 donated signed football shirts from their 2009/10 season in recognition of his last year in management. These signed shirts are to be put up on in the new building corridor as a 'Hall of Fame'.
